A few fun facts about Blue Bonnets:

1. They’re our state flower! (1901) If you love Texas as much as I do, you know Blue Bonnets are iconic to our state.

2. They’re so vivid and beautiful. Like most flowers, bluebonnets are visually appealing to the eye, but there
is something about the vivid blue that we go crazy over.

3. Blue Bonnets are planted by the Department of Transportation, along our highways to decorate our state.
So next time you’re driving down a stretch of road that is lined with gorgeous wildflowers, thanks your DPS.

4. There is a Bluebonnet festival! This year, April 7-9th in Burnet, is the annual Blue Bonnet Festival.

When Audrey arrived for her senior session, I was totally stoked. She was totally adorable and so outgoing! I love when my seniors love to think outside of the box and don’t mind getting a little dirty / wet to get fun shots! We met up in Belton and headed to the water to get some awesome images in, and to cool down too, total win! Check out Audrey’s senior images below.

Audrey is a total Taylor Swift fan, so we played that into her images as well.

I met Serena in Belton for her senior images and fell in love with the lighting before she even got there.

Serena and her mom showed up and we went over her goals for the session and chatted a bit. Serena is going to school to be a Dental Hygienist. I love it. Fields like that make you know someone really has a passion for it. ( She’s got perfect dentist teeth too!)

It was a bit warm that day but we rocked the session and were able to get into the water for a few shots too which helped a ton.

Serena was so nervous but she did soo well!

I had so much fun working with Samantha & Peter again for their early fall engagement portraits. This time they brought the fur-babies and I got include them in their images. (Adding dogs into your portraits is definitely a challenge, but so-so worth it!)

We headed to Belton, Texas where we took a small hike before shooting. These are are magic together. Just watching them interact and work together to produce these images was so satisfying. My favorite part of working with my engagement clients is watching pure love unfold in front of me. It makes my heart so happy to know that other people feel the love I feel with my husband.  *Happy dance* for sure! Here are some images from their engagement session in Belton. I cannot wait for their wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin.
